Aziz Sancar Anatolian High School is a newly opened school which has just 360 students, who are 9th and 10th graders aged 14 -15, and totally 20 teachers. However; the population of the school will grow in number year by year. It is located in Sultanbeyli in which there are lots of people migrated from the east, southeast and north of Turkey who are in the hope of finding jobs and having better living conditions. Besides, a huge number of refugees who have been suffering from the war in Syria have settled in here. Our school is a Project Anatolian High School for which students have to take a challenging exam and get a high score so there are also a lot of students coming from different districts of İstanbul as well as Sultanbeyli. Our school has the ‘Student-friendly School’ label which is given to the schools with the lowest rate of absenteeism. It is also a green school which cares a lot about environmental issues. Besides, students learn two foreign languages (English and Spanish) and they are very enthusiastic about improving their fluency in those languages and also getting to know about different cultures.
