Aziz Sancar Anadolu Lisesi: Short-Term Staff Training Event (C1)- İstanbul/ Turkey 22-25 October

The first short-term Staff Training Event (C1) was held at Aziz Sancar Anadolu Lisesi in Sultanbeyli, İstanbul, Turkey from 22nd to 25th October, 2019. We tried to let our guests make the most of the week by introducing them to some of our traditional folk dances, musical instruments, the Turkish shadow play called ‘Karagöz ve Hacivat’, as well as our most delicious traditional dishes.

Our beloved music teacher, Berna Arat, and the students had the pleasure of giving the guests a mini concert. Berna Arat also taught them a traditional Turkish song called ‘Katibim’ whose lyrics are quite easy to learn.

We also had the chance to show them some examples of ancient crafts such as Turkish calligraphy, crochet, Ebru (water painting) and paper modelling.

The cultural fair including all the  activities mentioned above was organized in the schoolyard

and it was one of the highlights of the training event.

Some seminars on “How to make professional like videos”,”Copyright Issues”, “Internet Safety” and ” How to cope with Cyberbullying” was given by ‘Kubilay Derinoğlu’ and ‘Oğuzhan Gür’ who are experts in the stated fields. We owe them a great debt of thanks for their contribituons to the project. Additionally, we put all the invaluable information provided by the experts together in a guidebook and presented them to our beloved partners. You can have a look at the flip version of the guidebook by clicking the link below:

We also tried to enjoy as many beauties as possible İstanbul had to offer us such as the marvellous Maiden’s Tower, the Grand Bazaar, the magnificent Hagia Sophia and many more.

Last but not least, we created a flip magazine which summarizes all the activities done during the staff training event  and also includes the testimonials of the teachers having participated in the meeting and some information about our school/town and city as well as some bits and pieces of our culture. Enjoy reading it! Here is the link:
